Our farmers · Plateaux region
The farmers behind your coffee
Our coffee comes from small family farms in the Plateaux region. Every lot we buy stays linked to its farm, from delivery in Lomé to the bag on your shelf.
Where it grows
Badou, Zogbégan, Adossou
Three hilly areas of the Plateaux region, in western Togo. Robusta grows there, often in the shade of other trees, on family plots of a few hectares. That's where we buy all of our coffee.

What we commit to
How we work with them
The whole harvest
We buy everything our partner farmers produce, not just the best beans. They sell their whole crop in one place, without hunting for several buyers.
A recorded price
For every lot, we record the price paid and the market price at the time. That's how we check, in figures, that we pay above the market.
In the field
Harvest, drying, sorting: we visit the farms and share what roasting and cupping teach us about each lot.
Their name on your bag
The QR code on every bag tells you which farm your coffee comes from.
The Midoké tree nursery
Your coffee grows trees
For every kilo of coffee sold, our nursery gives a seedling to a partner farmer.
- Coffee trees, to renew ageing plots
- Shade trees, which protect the coffee from the sun and keep the soil moist
- A follow-up of every planting: only living trees are counted
1 kg = 1 treefor every kilo of Midoké coffee sold
trees alive today
Every planting is mapped and followed up. The public map shows the living trees, by area.
